Cookie Policy
Avartan · avartan.ai · avartan.com.au — Effective date: 11 August 2026
This policy explains how Avartan uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels, SDK identifiers) on avartan.ai and avartan.com.au and in the app. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Consent required? | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in sessions, security (CSRF), load balancing, remembering your workspace | No | session token, auth state |
| Functional | Preferences: theme, sidebar state, timezone, language | No (or consent, per jurisdiction) | UI preference keys |
| Analytics | Understanding feature usage to improve the product | Yes, in EEA/UK/etc. | first-party analytics, product analytics tool |
| Marketing | Measuring signup campaigns and referrals (marketing site only) | Yes | affiliate/referral attribution cookie |
We do not use third-party advertising cookies in the app.
[Replace the examples above with your actual cookie table — name, provider, purpose, and lifetime for each cookie — before publishing.]
2. Affiliate / Referral Cookies
If you arrive via a referral or affiliate link, we set an attribution cookie (typically 90 days) so the referrer receives commission credit on your signup. This does not track you across other sites.
3. The Avartan Website Analytics Script (for customers)
If an Avartan customer installs our analytics script on their own website, that script sets or reads identifiers on that site's visitors on the customer's behalf. The customer is responsible for disclosing this in their own cookie/privacy notice and collecting any required consents. That data is processed under our customer agreement, not this policy.
4. Your Choices
- Consent banner: where required, we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies; you can change your choices anytime via "Cookie settings" in the footer.
- Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in.
- Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control: we honor GPC signals as an opt-out of non-essential cookies where legally required.
5. Changes
We will update this page when our cookie usage changes and refresh the "Last updated" date.
